Below are listed some of the population-related issues on which you can speak out.

Population growth
Ask your government representatives to raise population-related issues and call on your government to adopt a formal sustainable population goal. When population-related issues arise in your place of business, school, charity, campaign group, community, etc., ask your representatives to raise the contribution that lowering population growth would make to solving them.
Aid for family planning
If you live in a country that provides aid to developing countries, ask your government representatives to make family planning and women’s rights a focus of the aid.
Child marriage
Child marriage contributes to a lack of women’s rights and can contribute to larger families. Support the Girls not Brides campaign to eradicate child marriage.
Every child a wanted child
Call for universal access to high quality family planning services to prevent unwanted pregnancies. If you are a UK resident, support the Brook Sex Positive 21st Century Sex and Relationships Education campaign and join the XES campaign to defend family planning services. Local authorities have responsibility for sexual health in the UK. If you are a UK resident, ask your local authorities what they are doing to ensure good reproductive health in their area. Point out that an avoidance of unplanned pregnancies reduces the much more significant social and support costs of unwanted children.

We believe that subsidised in vitro fertilisation should not be provided to women who have a healthy child. Studies have shown that more than one-fifth of treatment cycles result in multiple births. If you are a UK resident, support the One at a Time campaign to reduce this proportion.
Ask your government to press the UN to make access to safe and legal abortion a human right.
We support the right of people to have consensual sex with other adults. Same sex relationships are still a crime in 76 countries. Ask your government to urge that consideration for human rights, including consensual sexual relations, be raised at the intergovernmental level.
Ask your government representatives to call for automatic support to be limited to the first two children, with further support limited to those in genuine need.
Environmental conservation
Natural habitats and local amenities are being lost around the world due to overdevelopment, commercial agriculture and resource extraction. Join campaigns where you live for the preservation of amenities and natural habitat for the benefit of your quality of life, local wildlife and future generations.
Living within our means
Extreme inequality is incompatible with a sustainable future. Support efforts to reduce gross inequalities in income and wealth and raise the poor of the world out of poverty. Urge the provision of genuine training and apprenticeship schemes to match the existing population to employment opportunities.
