Doubling your impact this Christmas 

From 2^nd December, for one week only, you can take part in our Big Give Christmas Appeal. 

Every donation made during this week will be automatically doubled*, at no extra cost to you. It’s the perfect opportunity to double your donation and your impact for people and the planet. 

How your support is making a difference: 

Thanks to your generosity, since last year we’ve been able to: 

• Launch four global partnerships with grassroots organisations working to protect the environment and their communities 

• Engage with global policy makers including participating in government discussions in Nigeria and collaborating with experts who will share our insights at the United Nations 

• Establish an in-house research function producing original research. Evidence the team compiled has already gone to the UK Parliament’s International Development Committee and been published in Hansard 

• Put population on the agenda: from the IUCN Conference to the first-ever Wild Summit, we’ve been attending and ensuring conversations about the impact of population are being raised at every opportunity 

• Amplify the voices of our global partners, bringing their work to international audiences on World Population Day 

• Host a webinar spotlighting European reproductive rights and our advocacy for gender equality and choice. 

Your kind donations make all this possible. This year, your gift will help us deepen grassroots partnerships, expand research and shape global policy over the next 12 months. And with all donations doubled for one week only, every pound goes twice as far. 

Population Matters receives no external funding beyond the kind gifts of our supporters. Your contribution directly powers our campaigns, research, and advocacy worldwide.

All donations must be made via The Big Give Christmas Challenge website during the appeal period from 12 noon (GMT) on Tuesday 2 December to 12 noon (GMT) on Tuesday 9 December 2025. 

We can’t wait to continue making a difference together, throughout 2026 and beyond. 

*All donations of £1 and over during the Christmas appeal period are doubled – up to the £13,750 pledged by our generous match funders. Any donations above £13,750 will not be doubled in value. A huge thank you to all our 2025 pledgers!
