Magazine Appeal: nature can’t wait!
With Earth’s population now exceeding 8 billion people, the pressure on our planet is greater than ever. Humans outcompete all other species to our shared detriment: all populations matter. Nature’s eyes are on all of us and the choices we make. Will you donate to our match-funded appeal Nature Can’t Wait?
Biodiversity loss is happening now. Nature is in crisis. In just 50 years, we have lost 73% of global wildlife populations1 and more than one million species are at risk of extinction2. The natural world we love – its forests, rivers, and oceans – is disappearing at an alarming rate. And the biggest driver? Human activity, fuelled by rapid population growth.
Our Nature Can’t Wait appeal will run for the whole month of June 2025 and, for the first time in a match-funded appeal, we can accept – and double – all donations received whether online, via telephone, or in the post. All donations up to £10,000 will immediately be doubled without any further cost, up to £10,000 – this really is the best way to make the impact of your gift go further.

Nature can’t wait is is a match-funded appeal funded by a single pledge of £10,000. All donations received up to this £10,000 pledge total will be automatically doubled. Once the £10,000 goal is reached the matched-funds will have been used and we will not be able to double subsequent donations. Donations will still be accepted after £10,000 has been raised and until the end of the appeal on 30th June 2025.
