In 2023, Population Matters and CISLAC/TI-Nigeria surveyed people’s views on population and related issues in selected states across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones. The report describes a structured questionnaire, a planned sample of 750 and 723 responses received. It does not establish a probability sample sufficient to represent national opinion.
The findings record respondents’ perceptions; they are not measurements of causal effects. The report also discusses education, health, women’s autonomy and access to family planning.
